3M Heat Shrink Tubing FP-301 is a general purpose, thin wall tubing that provides a balance of electrical, physical and chemical properties, making it ideal for industrial and military applications. This tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio and provides flame retardant insulation for 600V rated applications. It has a flexible polyolefin construction that offers moisture seal protection.

    3M™ Heat Shrink Thin-Wall Tubing FP-301 is commonly used to provide insulation and strain relief of wire connections, terminals, and components.

    Each case contains 25 pieces of clear heat shrink tubing with a length of 48 inches per piece.

  3. What size is the diameter of the tubing when it's shrunk down?

    The diameter shrinks to approximately half (0.8 mm) its original size after heat has been applied. So it will fit snuggly over wires or other objects that need to be protected or insulated.

  4. Is there any specific equipment needed to apply this heat shrinkable tubing properly?

    Sufficient warmth should be provided using any standard flame tool that can source around +/-10% from expected temperature level throughout shrinking process. Using a hot air gun which we also offer may produce better results but do take necessary precautions while handling the equipment for safety purposes.
